Woosha didn't start as a business idea. It started as a question: why isn't there a tool that actually addresses anxiety the way the body experiences it?
Woosha was created by Lindsay — a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT, MTC) and Manual Therapy Certified specialist who spent over a decade in aerospace engineering before focusing on nervous system and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Working with patients, she kept seeing the same pattern: anxiety isn't just a thought. It lives in the body. In the breath that won't slow down. In muscles that won't release. In a nervous system that never quite gets the message that it's safe.
The tools that existed were beautiful. But they were built by tech companies, not clinicians. And they were designed for the mind, not the body-mind connection that Lindsay knew was the key.
"Anxiety lives in the body, not just the mind. I wanted to build something that actually knew that."
So she built Woosha — alongside her mother, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who brought decades of direct clinical experience to every decision about content, tone, and approach.
With a background spanning aerospace engineering and specialized clinical practice in nervous system rehabilitation, Lindsay brings a uniquely rigorous lens to mental wellness. She built Woosha because she saw a gap between how anxiety is experienced in the body and how wellness apps were designed to address it.
